Like most venues in Auckland, the Trinity Methodist Church Hall is already booked out for the month of December, done long before Crafternoon-Tea ever appeared on the scene!
However, with a bit of phoning around, I have found another potential venue. Before I confirm the booking, I want to ask all my stallholders and potential stallholders their opinion!
The date would be Saturday 12th December, similar times and the venue for this one-off Christmas Market is the Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Road in Three Kings, in the Hillsborough Room. I'm viewing the venue next week and just wanted to know a level of interest before I go ahead and confirm the booking.

So, what do you think? Let me know by either commenting on this post or sending me an email,, or posting a message on our Facebook page.

You have until November 12th to let me know!

What a busy week! Preparations for the second Crafternoon-Tea are well underway! We've had loads of applications through so far and it's exciting to see some new names and incredible crafty talent! Applications for the November market will close on 7th November and I'll contact everyone after that to let you know.

In the meantime, the November flyer is up and available for download, so get in there and start spreading the word!

Yippee! Well, I think I can safely say that the first Crafternoon-Tea was a great success, even the weather held out for most of the day! There were a few teething problems at first, but it's all part of the learning curve, I now know what to do and not to do for next time!

Thank you to all my wonderful stallholders, it's you guys that help make ventures like this a success! And a big thank you to everyone who came to support, have a look, and get a spot of shopping in! People flowed in and out all day despite the occasional downpour.

We're famous too! Crafternoon-tea even made the front page of the NZ Herald Timeout section! Very cool, I will try to get a copy to post on here.

I've attached some photos from the day below.
Again, thanks to everyone who came and participated, it was a fantastic day!

Look, we're famous! A huge thank-you to the wonderfully talented Sarah Bird from Cotton Kiwi for providing the photo of her amazing brooches, she also organises the Devonport Craft market, so be sure to look out for her there.

This is it! The weekend is practically upon us and Crafternoon-Tea's first market! Needless to say I am ridiculously excited! On top of that, the banner arrived today, after only ordering it two days ago, and it looks FABULOUS, if I do say so myself! We have close to 30 stallholders, so it looks set to be a great day, fingers crossed for great weather too!

Wow! This market is set to be huge! Due to the massive interest and high number of stall holder applications I've had to go and get MORE tables! So I now have space for 10 more stall holders, so if you're interested just hit the apply now button! Or if you know someone who might be, let them know!
One week to go!

New flyer!

Yay! Thanks to my wonderful partner and graphic designer extraordinaire, Crafternoon-Tea's new flyer is now up and ready for download, so what are you waiting for?!
All other preparations for the market are coming along full speed, scary and exciting all at the same time! There is so much more involved in organising a craft fair than I could have possibly realised! But I'm loving it at the same time and every time someone applies for the market I get even more excited!
Speaking of applications, I still have tables available, so if you're interested or know someone who might be, get in touch! The crafty community is a fun and supportive one!

Cheapest tables in town!

So things are getting well underway with preparations! We now have a flyer which you will see in the right hand column - so let me know if you'd like some to spread the news! Due to the large size of the hall and the large number of tables I have available, I can now offer the cheapest table prices in town ($20 and $10) to my wonderful vendors. If you're thinking about applying to be part of this fantastic new craft event - then do it! What are you waiting for?! Yay to all those that have applied, I'll be in touch with you shortly to let you know. Closing date for applications is October 14th 2009, so get your skates on and let's make this happen!
